
Scott A. Kamber, the founding member of KamberLaw LLP and LLC, is a trailblazer in class action litigation, serving as lead counsel in dozens of cases that have secured hundreds of millions in relief for clients, setting precedents in internet privacy, digital rights, consumer protection, and pet health. Initially a financial consultant, he later represented both plaintiffs and defendants at Hughes Hubbard & Reed, where his defense experience shaped his litigation philosophy. He pioneered Internet privacy litigation from the time he resolved what is believed to be the first Internet privacy case to recover benefits for class members in the 1990s. His experience extends to digital rights management in software, video games, and music, and he has spoken at numerous prestigious international conferences such as the data protection and privacy commissioners’ conference. Mr. Kamber has also had the honor of being the keynote speaker for the International Association of Privacy Professionals annual conference. Mr. Kamber also excels in international negotiations, handling structured transactions across four continents and working with numerous international Olympic Committees where he worked alongside a former President of the United Nations General Assembly. In addition, he has worked to vindicate the rights of African torture victims alongside and has tried over 15 cases to verdict.
Scott A. Kamber graduated cum laude from the University of California Hastings College of the Law in 1991, where he was Order of the Coif, Articles Editor for the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly, and a member of the Moot Court Board. He earned his B.A. in economics (with extensive course work in international relations & negotiation) from The Johns Hopkins University with University and Departmental Honors. At Johns Hopkins, he partnered with Deborah Kravitz on an internationally award-winning parliamentary debate team.

He frequently lectures on international legal matters and was a regular speaker and moderator for the Center for International Legal Studies in Austria. Mr. Kamber also served three terms on the school board for one of the nation’s leading school districts during which time he served as president of the property committee overseeing a nearly $100 million construction initiative.
